August 11, 2008 - Fox Electronics, a leading global supplier of frequency control solutions, now offers HCMOS oscillators with 2.5-volt operation and tighter stability options of 15 ppm (F547), 10 ppm (F549) and 8 ppm (F54S), with phase noise of -140 dBc/Hz at a 10 kHz offset and a jitter period of 3 ps (RMS), making the series ideal for communication equipment, data transfer and test and measurement equipment applications, where reduced current and heat generation are required.

Ideal for customers needing tight stability oscillators, Fox's new F54 oscillator series features significantly tighter stability options compared to traditional oscillator stabilities of 100 ppm to 20 ppm. Fox's new low voltage oscillators also operate over a wide temperature range of -20°C to +70°C or optional temperature range of -40°C to +85°C (R Version) and feature a maximum soldering temperature of 260°C at 10 seconds.

The HCMOS version offers an input current (IDD) of 7 mA and an output current (IOL) of 4 mA minimum. Output symmetry for the F54 series is 45% to 55% over a frequency range of 4 MHz to 54 MHz.

The RoHS-compliant series has a gold over nickel termination finish and features industry standard packaging of 5.0 mm x 3.2 mm, including footprint and pin-out. Fox's F540 series is packaged on tape and reel.

Pricing for a F54SR (8 ppm, -40°C to +85°C Version) is $1.69 in quantities of 10K. Delivery is 8 weeks ARO.
